Octavias McKoy rushed for 455 yards and five touchdowns on 43 carries to set the Division III single-game record for rushing yards in a 55-35 win vs. Worcester State on Saturday.
The performance topped the record of 441 yards compiled by Dante Brown of Marietta vs. Baldwin-Wallace in 1996. It also set the rushing record for the entire NCAA, all divisions.
McKoy's last carry, with just under five minutes left and the team up by 14, went 12 yards to put the record securely in his grasp before quarterback Will Arndt and backup running back Eddy Williams finished it out for the final touchdown. McKoy also had a 3-yard catch on the day.
"I can't believe it. I'm still in shock," McKoy said. "I'm grateful just to have a chance and my coaches trust me to give me the ball 43 times.
"I feel good. All the credit goes to my O-line: Maleek Riley, Mark Wildman, Johnnie Medina, Rob Carpenter, Jordan Smith and (tight end) Chris Grise."
"We had no idea where the record sat," said Colonials coach Joe Loth. "I knew he was probably over 400 (yards). Just by coincidence, we were up two scores late and he had a carry to the sidelines, and I'm (thinking), 'Let's get him out of here, we don't want to get him hurt for next week.' We just took him out after that 12-yard carry."

Domonique Hayden rushed for 327 yards and four touchdowns himself to lead Thomas More past Grove City 44-7. Hayden also had 39 receiving yards on two catches.
Shenandoah rallied from a 19-0 deficit to tie with 4:17 left, then after giving up the go-ahead score in 90 seconds, drove 64 yards to score with 47 seconds left, went for two and knocked Hampden-Sydney off, 36-35. Andrew Smith had three touchdowns, including a 57-yard catch, but it was his two-point conversion run that turned the ODAC upside down. Hampden-Sydney's loss, coupled with Guilford's 28-21 win against Randolph-Macon, put the Quakers (5-2, 4-0) alone atop the conference.
Wartburg remained the only unbeaten team in Iowa Conference play as the Knights defeated Dubuque 22-15. Jake Holstein caught a 17-yard pass with 35 seconds left to pick up the win, Wartburg's fifth in a row.
Westminster's Stephen Amic blocked a punt and Dylan Heitmeier recovered for a touchdown with 44 seconds left to help the Titans beat Bethany, 7-6, despite only 232 yards of offense.
Chase Magsig converted a 26-yard field goal with 3:09 left and Gallaudet survived at home, remaining undefeated by topping Husson 16-13. Gallaudet's AJ McCrea picked off Joe Seccareccia on the very next play from scrimmage to help seal the win for the Bison.

Ron Garrett was held out of the end zone but King's won its fourth consecutive game regardless, knocking off Delaware Valley 21-14 in overtime. Kyle McGrath scored from nine yards out in overtime and King's held Delaware Valley out of the end zone. The Monarchs scored on a 39-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Hartranft to Dan Kempa with two minutes left to tie the game. Garrett had 12 tackles, including a tackle for loss against the Aggies, who were without No. 1 quarterback Aaron Wilmer for the second consecutive week.
Merchant Marine returned to the field for the first time after three weeks off because of the government shutdown and didn't show any rust, as the triple-option offense clicked en route to 296 rushing yards in a 26-14 win at WPI. Quarterback Matthew McDaniels ran for 137 yards and a touchdown, while Zachary Boucher added 103 yards and two scores.
Redlands scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns and handed Chapman its first loss of the season, defeating the Panthers 21-17 as cornerback Brandon Morris had six solo stops and also blocked a kick for the Bulldogs.
Pacific secured a winning season and completed a sweep of its non-conference schedule by defeating the University of Chicago 21-6. The last time Pacific had a winning season was in 1987, before the sport was dropped, when the Boxers went 4-3-2.
Carleton defeated crosstown rival St. Olaf for the first time since 2009 and took home the Goat, defeating the Oles 42-37. Carleton improved to 4-3, while St. Olaf falls to 1-7. Anthony Kemper had 12 catches for 176 yards and three TDs from Conor Lynch in the win.
Michael Bates threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns and Cecil Brimmage added 96 rushing yards and three scores as Illinois College bounced back from a halftime deficit to dominate the final two quarters and defeat Knox 48-24. The Blueboys remain unbeaten at 7-0, 6-0 in the Midwest Conference, and do not play fellow conference unbeaten, St. Norbert.
McCallum Foote hit Matthew Minno for a 7-yard touchdown with 1:12 left and Nate Leedy intercepted a pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to lift Middlebury over Trinity (Conn.) 27-24. The loss snapped the Bantams' 14-game winning streak. The loss and Wesleyan's 34-14 win vs. Bowdoin leaves Wesleyan in sole possession of first place in the NESCAC.

Braden Black found Kyle Bryson for a 19-yard touchdown pass with just 12 seconds left and Olivet knocked off Adrian 21-17. The Comets improved to 6-1, 2-1 in the MIAA, and remained a game behind Albion, which edged Alma 28-24 to improve to 5-2, 3-0. Albion overcame two fumbled punt returns, an onside kick, a fake punt, a bad snap on a punt, and a running into the punter penalty to beat the winless Scots.
Wash U broke a scoreless tie when Cody Ratermann scored on a 15-yard TD run with 7:55 left in the game and the Bears defeated Macalester 7-0.
Whittier and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps battled it out for five overtimes before Claremont survived, 49-46.
Junior John Babin caught 10 passes for 138 yards and a score and senior Justin Autera returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown as Cortland posted a 20-7 win over NJAC leader TCNJ. The Red Dragons moves into first place in the conference by half a game.
North Park entered the season not having won a CCIW game since 2000. On Saturday, they won a second conference game, winning 45-35 at Augustana as the T.D. Conway-to-Dakota Conway connection was good for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The last time North Park won two conference games was in 1993, when the Vikings went 2-3-1 in the conference and 4-4-1 overall under Tim Rucks.
Anderson saw its losing streak extended to 23 consecutive games after coughing up a 20-0 halftime lead in a game Earlham rallied to win 21-20.
