ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. (csssaints.com) – The St. Scholastica football team tallied 513 yards of total offense and its defense held Crown College to 166 total yards as the Saints rolled to a 46-20 victory over the Storm Saturday at KleinBank Stadium.

How it Happened
The Storm (0-3, 0-1 UMAC) recorded 12 yards on the ground on the first two offensive plays of the game, but would ultimately finish with 10 yards of total offense for the first half.

The Saints got on the board first with a safety on their 2-yard-line. The irony is that we are almost 10 years to the day when the Saints recorded their first points as a program with a safety

On CSS' next two offensive possessions, the Saints would get to the Storm 30-yard-line, but the drive would stall there. The Saints finally found the end zone on their fourth drive when Jeff LeMay ran it in from six yards out. A Donovan Blatz extra point made it 9-0 at the end of the first quarter.

On the second play of the second quarter, Frank Cerar recorded the strip sack and Quinten McGregor returned the fumble to the Crown 5-yard-line. Two plays later Zach Edwards found Eddie Lee for a 10-yard score to make it 16-0.

The CSS defense would get their second safety of the contest when Cooper Dosan tackled the Crown ball carrier in the end zone on the ensuing possession to make it 18-0.

Later in the second quarter after Jordan Kittelson recovered another Crown fumble, Edwards connected with Aaron Olson for a 9-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 25-0. That marked Olson's 17th consecutive conference game with at least one touchdown reception.

Edwards threw his third touchdown pass of the first half with two minutes remaining in the half, finding freshman Devante Bates for an 18-yard score. The Saints led 32-0 at halftime.

The Storm finally got on the board after a St. Scholastica fumble in the third quarter, but the Saints responded by going 78 yards on 10 plays and LeMay capping the drive with a 9-yard TD run to make it 39-6 at the end of three quarters.

St. Scholastica scored its final touchdown of the day when Edwards hooked up with Lee again for a 15-yard TD to make it 46-6. Crown added two touchdowns late to make the final 46-20.
