DALLAS, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College football team was firing on all cylinders on Saturday afternoon as the Dutchmen stayed unbeaten in conference play with a 47-12 victory at Misericordia University on Mangelsdorf Field in Dallas.
The Dutchmen scored touchdowns in all three phases of the game to improve to 4-2 overall and 4-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference play while Misericordia fell to 2-4 and 1-3 in the conference. Dion Bryant and Braden Bohannon gave the Dutchmen a 13-0 lead with a pair of rushing touchdowns in the first quarter. Tim Ervey made it 19-0 with his first of three touchdown runs to begin the second quarter.
The Cougars got on the board with a three-yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 19-6. LVC stopped the two-point rush attempt. Evan Kutzler made it 26-6 on the first drive of the third quarter with a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown. The lead blossomed to 33-6 when Logan Grauer scored on a punt blocked by Jeremy Bours Jr. MU opened the fourth quarter with a short touchdown pass but the Dutchmen were able to stop the two-point conversion attempt. Ervey had touchdown runs of 11 and 20 yards to wrap up the scoring.
Inside the Box Score
- Ervey rushed for a season-high 143 yards on 17 carries to give him 971 rushing yards in his career. His three touchdowns equaled his career-high which he also had against Misericordia last year.
- The Dutchmen blocked three kicks in the game with Grauer blocking a first quarter field goal and returning it 63 yards to the Misericordia 4 and Bours blocking two punts in the second half. Bours also had a punt for 67 yards which is three yards shy of the school record.
- Bryant had a great game rushing the ball with 81 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. Bohannon rushed seven times for 30 yards and a score.
- Dillon Estes led the team in tackles with nine while Noah Caldani added seven.
- The Dutchmen had secondary had seven pass breakups and a big interception returned for a touchdown by Kutzler.
- The Dutchmen recorded 20 first downs including 13 on rushes. They totaled 365 yards of total offense including a season-high 282 on the ground. LVC rushed for five touchdowns and averaged 6.6 yards per carry.

Lebanon Valley will be at home next Saturday for a huge Homecoming game at 1 p.m. on Arnold Field against Delaware Valley University in a battle for first place in the conference.
